Treatment Information

Important
Complementary therapies are not a substitute for medical advice, prescribed medication or medical treatment given by your doctor, consultant or hospital.
Consultation
On your initial visit a free of charge, confidential consultation will be undertaken before any treatment can begin. A brief medical history is taken to ascertain if there are any 'contraindications' i.e. circumstances where it will not be appropriate for you to receive a treatment, and to look at your wellbeing and lifestyle to ensure you receive the right treatment for the best outcome.

Children under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by and consent given by a parent/guardian.

All consultations and paperwork are kept in a locked secure filing cabinet in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Quality Products
Only top quality carrier oils and pure essential oils are used in my treatments. I use a variety of carrier oils for their different beneficial properties, and create therapeutic blends from over 40 essential oils, to help maximise the benefits of my 'oil-based' therapies.
Holistic Massage
Aims to relax soft tissues, increase delivery of blood and oxygen to the massaged areas, warm them and help the body to relax. May bring relief from everyday aches, reduce stress, increase relaxation, address feelings of anxiety and tension, and aid general wellbeing.
The word 'holistic' translates from the Greek ‘Holos’ meaning ‘whole’; caring for a person as a whole, looking at how diet, lifestyle, emotions, sleep patterns, posture or work may be affecting their problems. In this way holistic therapies may also help promote the balance of our physical processes, emotional and mental outlook, and encourage client’s self-care and self-healing as a 'complement' to conventional medicinal treatment.

Aromatherapy
Therapeutic use of essential oils, in a personal prescription. Essential oils, extracted from plants, are thought to possess distinctive properties which may be used to improve overall emotional and spiritual health, infusing the user with a sense of relaxation and calmness, helping to reduce everyday stress with the ability to cope, relax and sleep.

Indian Head Massage
May benefit the release of tension in shoulders, neck and upper back; plus stimulation of scalp (hair & brain cells). This massage can be performed over clothing; a close fitting t-shirt is best, or on your skin with nourishing carrier oils, or I can also add essential oils for an aromatherapy treatment.
Thermo Auricular Therapy
(Hopi Ear Candling)
Offers pleasant feelings of warmth and relaxation; may help soothe stresses & nerves and ear, nose and sinus related disorders. I only use Biosun Ear Candles which are Medical Product Class IIA, Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC. This treatment includes a light ear and face massage.

Reiki
The work 'Reiki' means 'Universal Life Force'. Energy fields are used to help balance, calm and restore, with warmth and reassurance from the gentlest human touch.
Colour Mirror Bottles
A form of light energy which may support physically, mentally and emotionally.  These beautiful bottles can be included to enhance many treatments and you can purchase them to use at home.

Aromatherapy Products
Blended to personal prescription. These products enable a continuation and enrichment of your treatment in your home environment for example: massage oils, bath treatments, hair shampoo/conditioners, burner oils...

Aftercare
Your aftercare will be discussed following the completion of your treatment, and an information sheet will also be provided to take home. This is an important part of your treatment as therapies do not stop working when you leave!

I would like to help my regular clients by offering discounts, where possible, for their treatment plans.

These are very attractive and available for any value.  They are a lovely gift for a valued friend, work colleague, family member or loved one.
